Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun! Don't Be Afraid of the Dark! Night Sensory Walk
Friday, October 6, 6:30pm - 7:45pm
Come join us for a nighttime exploration! This is a chance to discover how your senses work differently at night. We will start at dusk and make observations as darkness slowly comes upon us. As the night falls, we will play games and learn how we see, feel, smell, taste, and hear things differently in the dark.
Ages: 7-12, parents are welcome to join.

Make a Mess! with Total Nature Immersion!
Sunday, October 8, 1:00pm - 2:30pm
Do your kids like to get dirty? Then this program is for them! This hands-on immersive program encourages children to dig, splash, and create with hands-on, nature-based activities. They'll play in our fully-stocked mud kitchen, learn how to make their own paints and natural art, and maybe even decorate themselves (and you)
Ages: 4 - 12
Cost: $11 per child

Let's Take a Hike
Saturday, October 14, 10:00am - 11:30am
Twin Brooks Park, Trumbull
The Trumbull Health Department, Trumbull Nature & Arts Center, and Denali have partnered together to host a Nature Hike at Twin Brooks Park, White Plains Road, Trumbull. Come join us for a nature hike along the trails. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles. The terrain is moderate and is not conducive to strollers or pets. Park passes are not required for this event.
  The walk will be led by the Trumbull Nature & Arts Center Naturalist. He will help participants discover the ecosystem and the many different habitats in the park. Representatives from Denali will be on hand to provide hiker safety tips and to teach participants the 10 essential items needed for a safe hike. The walk will conclude with some prevention tips for tick-borne diseases from the Trumbull Health Department.

Join experienced Trumbull Historical Society and Trumbull Nature & Arts Center hikers on a hike through Old Mine Park. Meet in the Old Mine Park parking lot. Wear comfortable shoes, and bring water.

Gratitude Boxes for Thanksgiving

Make Your Own Blue Spruce Holiday Wreath
Saturday, December 2, 10:30am - 12:00pm
Create your own wreath for the holiday season. Using natural materials, participants will make their own festive, decorative wreaths, suitable for hanging. Light refreshments will be served.
Ages: Recommended for adults or children accompanied by adults. Maximum of 20 registrants.
Cost: $15 per wreath
