About the Event
FREE Program! In our first collaboration, the Trumbull Nature & Arts Center joins forces with the Sustainable Trumbull team and Trumbull Community Women. Activities will include:
- Lead Naturalist Educator Mark Ceneri will walk with guests on the grounds to discuss TNAC's meadow rehabilitation project. Mark will talk about invasive plants and the need for their removal and replacement with native plants.
- Sustainable Trumbull team member Pam Roman will talk about their team's mission, including the Pollinator Pathway, and will show examples of items that can be recycled at their monthly collection at Trumbull High School.
- Members of Trumbull Community Women will conduct a planting activity. Children will create recycled newspaper pots to take home. They'll fill their pots with soil and plant seeds to grow.
This is a FREE family program, recommended for adults and children ages 4 and up. The program will be held outdoors, and masks will be required. Space is limited to 12 families of up to 4 persons each.
